Fargo Street Hillclimb

Hill climber

For Climbers and Spectators: photos here.

This famous ride, which dates back to the Club's beginnings, is an annual affair open to all clubs. Fargo is the steepest street in Los Angeles (over 30% grade) and requires lots of POWER as well as low gears to conquer. If hillclimbing is not your bag, you can cheer the others on; come and be supportive. If you've never seen it before, come and be amazed.

This year, the ride was dedicated to the memory of Osher Kahan, who held the title of oldest rider to climb the hill. He lost a long battle with cancer last year, and his widow and some family members will be at Fargo to remember him and his love of bicycling, with some photos of Osher on the hill.
