Next Meeting:
Thursday, March 19th
6:30 PM
Echo Park Library
1410 East Temple Street

We will start the process of planning the 1998 Echo Park Artist Festival.  Last year's event attracted about 1,000 participants with studio tours, professional exhibitions, kids art work shops and live music.  We will critique last year's activities and start planning the upcoming festival. The meeting is open to all residents.

  SIDEWALK ARTS SALE

The first—at least, it’s the first we know of—Echo Park Sidewalk Art Show & Crafts Sale will be held on Saturday March 14th from 10am-1pm in front of Peerless Hardware on Sunset near Alvarado.  This is an experiment to see what kind of interest there is in staging a casual event where artist and residents can meet on an informal basis.  Space is limited and the event will be canceled in case of rain.  Photographer Dauna Whitehead will be donating half the proceeds of her sales to Echo Park Arts. Call Jesus Sanchez at 213.482.4458 or Katrina at 213.662.6083.
